  • Pet sitters and House Sitters are commonly confused, and that is because they are very similar. The main difference is a pet sitter takes care of your pets either in your home or in their home. This could be drop-in visits in your home, staying overnight, or boarding in the pet sitter's home.

  • A house sitter is someone who is strictly looking out for your house, and there are no pets involved. This could also be drop-in visits checking on your house or staying overnight in your house.

According to petsitter.com, the skills that are needed to be a professional pet sitter are:

-Problem-solving skills

Yes, we can undoubtedly pet sit in your home. We offer drop-in visits where we stay 30 minutes each visit.

As a professional pet sitting business, we do not let anyone come over while doing the job. We assume full responsibility and understand that this is not our home or pet, so we must treat it professionally.

We only think it is acceptable if it is our husband/partner and the client said it is okay if they come over. Otherwise, it is unacceptable.

If this happens, we will always honor whoever asked us to pet sit for them first. When the second client asks us to help, we will try our best to see if there is another option to help them out.

Time-To-Pet is a software and platform designed for pet sitting and dog walking to help businesses manage a platform with a rich set of customer-focused features.

Using time for a pet is simple and effective. It helps both client and professional pet sitter stay in communication. Please see this blog post to view how to use the time to pet.

How to use the time to pet

We accept:

  • Cash
  • Electronic Payment through the Time-to-Pet portal.

Yes, of course! We encourage our clients to tip us. The gratuity goes straight to the sitter that helped you. If the booking was split between different sitters, please contact me at maddie@madpetloverz.com to confirm and help to ensure that both sitters got the tip correctly.

The only person with access to your home and keys is the professional pet sitter staying and your house (one of the mad pet sitters) and/or me (Maddie). Your keys are in a secure location and are well taken care of. Besides that, no one else has access to your home or keys. You will see in our policies and procedures on time to pet our complete information on this

Hiding keys outside presents liability and security issues for your pet and home. We recommend not to hide your keys outside. However, it is up to you. But keep in mind,  It also puts our sitter’s safety at risk.

  •  If you prefer to leave keys in a lock box secured to your home, we can provide one for a small fee.
